• Splashin’ Saturday, SIU Campus Lake
  Southern Illinois University Carbondale
  What do you get when you get when you combine the 34th Annual Great Cardboard Boat Regatta and the 24th Annual Doc Spackman Memorial Triathlon – you get a fantastic new event – “Splashin’ Saturday”  The triathlon starts at the boat dock at 8am and finishes up at the Campus Lake Beach, about 10am. The boat regatta registrations opens at 10am; Race at 12 Noon. Awards for both events will be handed out about 3pm. Come cheer on all the participants see who has the best cardboard boat(s) – that float. Full-size boat too much – make a tiny boat to race in the horse troughs sponsored by the Carbondale Park District).
